Gas hits 9th straight record high
Friday, May 16, 2008
CNN Money -- NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Retail gas prices hit record highs for the ninth day in a row, auto group AAA's Web site showed Friday.

The nationwide average for a gallon of regular unleaded hit $3.787, up from the previous high of $3.776.

Gas prices have now risen for 10 straight days. The pinch on consumers at the pump comes just ahead of the summer driving season, which kicks off with Memorial Day weekend.

Many analysts said the market would never support $100.00 a barrel oil prices. Well the American people have provide them wrong, so expect oil prices to reach $140.00 a barrel by the end of the year. Which means $5.00 a gallon at the pump.

Come on people we need to converse and prove the analysts wrong. We can't handle $5.00 for gas.

No surprises here. Treat yourself to a vacation from fuel consumption over the Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy a back yard barbeque and quit driving.

Sure it's continuing to rise. It's so annoying to pass people on the interstate who continue to drive 20+ mph over the speed limit and complain about the prices, or when I drive past McDonald's and see the drive thru line wrapped around the building. Get off your lazy tail and walk inside. You might actually burn off a few calories while doing so!
